What's with the name?

VPL is an acronym for "visible panty line." Originally started as a line of fashion underwear to be worn as outerwear, we added gradually added functionality of activewear in order to make the concept real.

What's VPL's mission?

Designed by women for women, VPL is a smart fitness clothing company with mission to empower women to stay fit, healthy and educated through its innovative products and its business activities. In 2016 VPL received a certification as a B-Corporation.

How are VPL products designed?

VPL advocates slow design and sustainable production. Through its slow design process, design and development costs are amortized over years not seasons to keep prices accessible. Today all of VPL designs are patented to fight with knock offs by fast fashion retailers.

Where are all VPL products made?

VPL products are made in small batches of production instead of mass production, which normally ends up in over-consumption by consumers. We choose to pay fair wages to those who make VPL products instead of going overseas for cheaper labor costs. Working with women- and minority-owned factories in Southern California, VPL developed a unique production process that utilizes excess fabric from production to minimize fabric waste ("upcycle" program). For this sustainable production, VPL became the winner of CFDA/Lexus Eco Challenge among many other industry awards it received. The savings from fabric utilization are now used to benefit young women through VPL's education fund, which gives money directly to select classroom projects across the country.

How long must I wait for my purchase after I submit my order?

Your order should ship within 1-2 business days (Mon-Fri, before 5pm), and arrive within 5-7 business days if you select standard shipping, or 1-3 business days with expedited shipping (Continental U.S.). Orders placed on Friday after 12PM CT will begin processing on the following Monday. If you pre-order something, then the shipping will be when your purchase is ready. When orders shipped internationally reach the destination country, they may be subject to customs clearance procedures which can cause delays beyond original delivery estimates. VPL will contact you with a follow-up e-mail if the merchandize you have selected is not currently in stock or if we need additional identification provided for credit verification. We do not offer Saturday delivery.

What is your return policy?

Not loving them? No worries - we process returns/exchanges within 14 days of receiving first time orders (not valid on final sale items, gift cards or underwear items). We accept only items that have not been WORN, ALTERED, OR WASHED, and with ALL tags attached. Footwear returns and exchanges must include the original shoe box in its original condition and without postal label. Housewife items also must include the original box. You can request a return via returns.aftership.com/vplstore.com. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. VPL does not assume return shipping costs. Simply click on the Returns button on the main menu of the Help page. Make sure you have your order, as you'll need those to initiate your return. If you don’t know your order number, customers can usually locate it by searching for “Confirmation For Order” in their inbox.

I live abroad. Can I still order VPL?

Yes! We offer international shipping, so women all around the world can feel empowered and stay healthy and fit!

Does VPL cover taxes, duty, etc. For international customers?

Unfortunately not! That'd be a big commitment for a lil' company. Our prices don't include these fees (they vary depending on where you are), so any import taxes, duties, brokerage fees, and VATs are collected by the local shipping company upon delivery. If you get your package and are just like, nvm, 'cause you don't want to pay those fees, we won't be able to refund you. By the way, customs policies vary widely from country to country; contact your local customs office for more information. When ordering from VPL, you are considered the “importer of record” and will be expected to comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. 

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free for all orders above $100 in the US, otherwise, $10 for standard shipping and $ for expedite shipping which you can choose at checkout. For international orders, shipping charge is free for all orders above $200, otherwise $40 for standard shipping.

When will my credit card refunded?

Once your package has been received at our warehouse, your refund will be processed in the original form of payment within five business days. You will be notified via e-mail to the address listed on your account when this transaction has taken place. Please note that your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to you account once they have received the information from VPL.

How can I track my order?

You will receive an order confirmation once we get your order. In addition, a shipping confirmation e-mail will be sent once your order has been shipped. This confirmation will include the tracking number for your package.

Where else can I buy VPL?

Nowhere! We are completely direct-to-consumer. We do, however, have several strategic stores around the world to showcase our products. If you’re in New York, check New York Pilates for our special collaboration products. In LA, you can come and join our zen meditation yoga to try our products for free every week at our outdoor studio in Santa Monica.

What if I want to cancel my order?

We don’t yet have an online system to support cancelation and we try to fulfill orders very quickly; that said, please give us a call at 1-646-912-6141 (Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm PST) and we’ll find a good solution.

What currency do you accept?

Right now we only accept US dollars.
